重庆市概况及与美经贸往来情况
一、概况
重庆是中国中西部唯一直辖市，长江上游地区经济中心，面积8.24万平方公里，人口3343万人。重庆是全国统筹城乡综合配套改革试验区，拥有两江新区（国家级新区）、长江黄金水道以及渝新欧国际铁路联运大通道的国际贸易优势。支柱产业包括电子信息、汽车、装备制造、综合化工、材料和能源等。2016年全年外贸总额109.6亿美元，同比下滑21%。其中出口97.2亿美元，同比下滑21.5%；进口12.4亿美元，同比下滑19.4%。
二、与美国经贸往来情况
2017年1-3月，重庆市新批准美国外商投资企业4家，合同外资564万美元，实际使用外资10万美元。
截至2017年3月底，重庆市累计批准美国外商投资企业572家，合同外资185615万美元，实际利用外资229888万美元。主要涉及制造业、农林牧渔业、房地产业、租赁和商业服务业等。主要企业有重庆国际复合材料有限公司、重庆三峰环境产业集团有限公司、重庆秦安机电股份有限公司、百力通（重庆）发动机有限公司、重庆长安伟世通发动机控制系统有限公司、重庆润通动力制造有限公司、重庆两江乔治海茵茨通用飞机制造有限公司等公司。
截至2017年3月，重庆在美国累计投资企业71家，总投资额61.1亿美元，主要行业为互联网和相关服务业（46亿），汽车制造业（3.4亿），广播、电视、电影和影视录音制作业（2.5亿）， 主要企业为重庆新世纪游轮股份有限公司，重庆小康控股有限公司，重庆盛影三号影视产业股权投资基金合伙企业（有限合伙）等。

Brief Introduction to Chongqing and its Cooperation with the United States
Being the only municipality in middle-west China, Chongqing is the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Chongqing covers a total area of 82,400 square kilometers with a population of 33.43 million. The pillar industries of Chongqing consist of electronic information, automobile, equipment manufacturing, basic chemicals, materials and energy.
Economic and trade ties with and the US.
By the end of March, 2017, altogether 572 investment projects from the United States have been approved by Chongqing Municipal Government, with a total contracted capital of $1.86 billion and actually utilized capital of $2.30 billion. The investment mainly goes to the industries of manufacturing, agriculture, real estate, and commercial services.
By the end of March 2017, altogether 71 enterprises invested in the US with a total value of $6.11 billion, involving the industries of the Internet, automobile manufacturing, broadcasting, film and TV recording.
